Rolvenden Farmers' Market is held every Thursday, 10-12pm in Rolvenden, Kent.
We are one of the largest weekly farmer's markets in Kent having approx 30 stallholders attending each week allowing for the seasons. At Christmas we will have 40 plus traders.
There is always an interesting mix of stalls because we believe that anyone who makes it, bakes it, sows it or grows it within a 20 mile radius deserves a place at our market.
In February 2010 we will be celebrating our 10th anniversary as we were one of the first farmers markets to be founded in this area.
Each week we try to have something different, whether it be one of our themed markets (the 1940's one was popular)live music, or a craft display.
We occupy two venues in the middle of Rolvenden, adjacent to the A28. Anything that needs to be kept cool is available from our 'ecclesiastical shopping mall' in the church, and everything else is sold from the village hall opposite.
Parking is available on street as the car park to the hall is small. There are no restrictions or yellow lines to worry about near the hall, so most visitors are able to pull up close by.
Refreshments are available in both venues.
We look forward to seeing you there. Look for our red 'MARKET OPEN' banners on the main road (A28) to Tenterden, which is approx 4 miles NW.
The market organizer is Susie Morley who you may contact on 01424 855636. The market founder is Sue Saggers who is available on 01580 241056.
You may follow us on Twitter - we are 'Rolvenden Farmer' and we also have a Facebook page.
