I would like to see more information on herbal pastures for horses as we seem to be getting more cases of laminitis supposedly caused by fresh grass with a high sugar content.
Thanks for any information
Regards Chris
Hi Chris,
With regards to herbal pastures for horses, the article on herbal pastures for livestock as seen here is a good basis to work from.
https://www.countryfarm-lifestyles.com/pasture-grass.html
In addition, if you have horses with laminitis, I would add any herb that they like that acts as an anti-inflammatory.
Examples of equine herbs of this nature are:
* Stinging Nettles which can also be used as an excellent blood tonic
* Thyme
* Chamomile
* Dandelions
* White willow bark from which Aspirin is derived.

Kathryn
