This is a very versatile honey mask recipe which can be adapted to suit all skin types and deal with a number of skin problems like wrinkles, pimples and blackheads.
Here is the base recipe:
1 tablespoon pure honey
1 teaspoon lanolin
1 teaspoon oatmeal
Warm the honey and lanolin together in a bowl over hot water until liquid. Stir in the oatmeal and allow to cool slightly. Apply to the face evenly and leave for 20 minutes. Remove by washing the face with tepid water.
Honey Face Mask for Oily Skin: Omit the oatmeal and add 1 teaspoon of skim milk powder.
Honey Face Mask for Dry Skin: Add one drop of glycerine to the above recipe when cooling.
Honey Face Mask for Pimples: Break open a chamomile teabag and add one teaspoon of the contents while heating the honey and lanolin.
Honey Face Mask for Wrinkles: Add half a teaspoon of onion juice to the mixture just before applying to the face.
Honey Face Mask for Blackheads: Break open a peppermint teabag and use one teaspoon of this while heating the ingredients.
Honey Face Mask for Open Pores: Add one teaspoon finely chopped parsley to the warming ingredients.
