A homemade body scrub recipe that is not only cheap and easy to make, but it will stimulate your circulation at the same time!
1 cup Baking Soda
1/4 cup Cayenne Pepper
1 Tbsp Nutmeg
1 Tbsp Cinnamon
Olive oil
The major component is the baking soda. It softens and exfoliates the skin.
The Cayenne pepper soothes as well as stimulates. It does not burn as most people thinks it might.
I used to mix Cayenne pepper with ground oatmeal and put it into a sock and squeezed in into a shallow tub of water and sat my sons in it when they were of diaper wearing age. It is great for diaper rash.
Of course be careful with the cayenne but in small amounts it is amazingly soothing on the skin.
Cayenne pepper stimulates the circulation.
I use the above mix blended into an oil such as olive oil. Any kind of oil will work but the natural oils do not have all the harmful additives that things like baby oil has.
I also bought a medium grit water-proof sanding block from the lumber yard and I use that every morning with the body scrub.
It is not as harsh as it sounds and is amazing in how well it exfoliates. It is almost addictive in how good it makes the skin feel.
