Interesting why Amish celebrate Christmas, and Easter, as both are Pagan celebrations,Jesus not being born on 25th December, but weeks earlier.(Shepherds would not be in the fields at night in December). The Date of Jesus's birth unknown which the Bible would reveal if to be celebrated, but his death we know, the date (Nisan 14) and Jesus told us to remember it... but not the Easter eggs, bunnies, etc. all from fertility, name... Easter... from fertility goddess Astarte,or Ishtar.
Halloween is accepted as very non-Christian and is true, but, so are these other dates. Christmas being the time of Roman Satanalia, where feasting and presents were exchanged.
The churches adopted these celebrations, but not from Jesus Christ. Also Giving should be from the heart "More happiness in giving than recieving" but people expect to receive on that date...so it's not the true spirit of giving. Also puts one under pressure too, especially those who cannot afford it at that time.
Comments for Christmas, Easter etc
