The Bryanston Organic & Natural Market was established 33 years ago with the intention of creating awareness of organic food and a sustainable lifestyle. Over the years the market has grown and you can now find a wealth of products, such as…

* Foods for people with special-needs diets or those with food allergies
* Health & wellness products that include 100% natural make up, body creams & soaps
* Designer clothing made from 100% natural fabrics including hemp and bamboo
* Superb locally made crafts that include, handmade knives, paper mosaics, hand bound books, pewter work, hand made olive oil candles, ceramics, hand painted silk, glass beads and more
* Children’s toys and clothes all made from natural materials
* Jewellery designed and made in South Africa by creative jewelers
* Original art painted, sculpted and beaded by local artists
We also have 3 restaurants that all serve freshly prepared light meals, cakes, pizzas, home made lemonade and ginger ale, fruit teas and coffee. You will also find children’s craft activities that include candle dipping, sand art, puppet-making workshops and pottery painting.
We recently created our own market garden that is home to our Grow Organic Food courses. Designed to teach city dwellers how to grow organic fresh produce in their own backyards, these courses take place once a month and are followed up by speciality courses that will broaden participants knowledge of the wonders of organics.
Apart from all of the above, we are the primary fund raiser for Michael Mount Waldorf School. All funds raised at the market are allocated to outreach programs, fee reductions for needy children and capital development of the school.
Our mission is to create and live a healthy sustainable present-day and leave the earth a better place for all of our children!
