The Matthews Community Farmers' Market is a wonderful blend of fresh marketplace and community gathering spot on Saturday mornings in downtown Matthews, NC.
The Matthews Community Farmers' Market is the largest and most diverse producer-only farmers' market in the greater Charlotte, NC area.
Located on North Trade Street in historic downtown Matthews, NC, the market allows customers to make a direct connection with the source of their food and get to know the local grower or farm family who produce it.
All food and other market products are produced within 50 miles of Matthews.
The market is open year-round. Our regular season market is open every Saturday morning from 7:15am until noon, mid-April through November. Our winter farmers' market is open other Saturday morning from 8 to 10am December through March.
Seasonal fruits and vegetables, naturally raised meats, fresh goat cheese, local honey, free-range chicken eggs, fresh-cut flowers, freshly made baked goods, sweets, jams, pickles, plants, hand-crafted pottery, baskets and soaps top the list of the many wonderful items offered by almost 50 vendors.
During our regular season market, customers are treated to cooking demonstrations by top local chefs, relaxing live music and old fashioned farm craft presentations.
Those with culinary questions can get them answered at our expertly staffed Ask-A-Chef table. Our special events schedule is always full of family-friendly activities.
